Meet Your Wedding Florist

We love flowers. But who doesn’t? It’s all too surreal to be writing this and realizing that after many late nights twisting together bouquets and early mornings transporting boatloads of flowers – and dragging our patient husbands along to help us – its time to write this page. How the Lord does work.

It began as it usually does… with our own weddings. We got to work together on our weddings and we loved every second of it. Looking back, we both agree that we might have chosen different kinds of blooms and regret leaving the stems so long. After those weddings, friends and family began asking for us to do their wedding. Then friends of friends until complete strangers are trusting us with their vision for one of the biggest days of their lives. How special!

With many more years of experience since our own weddings, we are especially passionate about making every bride, no matter the budget, feel like a bride should. Surrounded by her best friends, with her new husband, and nearly assaulted by the beauty and smell of fresh flowers. So, how can we create your floral vision?

Howdy! My name is Alex and I’m one of the designers and co-owners of Field of Lilies! I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in December 2022 and got married six days later. I decided that I wanted to diy my wedding florals so my dear friends Sarabeth and Elizabeth decided to help make my dreams come true. And since that very cold day in December, I’ve been hooked on floral design! I live in The Colony and handle most of the DFW weddings and events for Field of Lilies and I can’t wait to hear all your dreams!

Outside of flowers, I enjoy all things art, spending time admiring the beauty of everything the Lord creates, quality family time with my growing family, and constantly throwing a ball for my cocker spaniel pup.

I, Sarabeth, co-owner and designer at Field of Lilies, like Alex, attended Texas A&M and got married just 8 days after graduation. It runs in the family. After all, Alex’s husband is my cousin! Alex gave me the courage to do my own wedding flowers and loved every minute of it! Now, I have established our Houston branch of Field of Lilies.

I received my bachelor’s and then master’s in English and enjoy my day job as a professor at Sam Houston State University (Eat ‘em up Kats). I’m a people person, but there is a special place in my heart for spending time hearing a bride’s vision for her wedding day. It’s just so sweet and special. My husband, Thomas, is ever patient with all of my wild ideas.

Alex and I are so expectant and excited for what the Lord has in store for us in this business venture.
